Recruitment Process

TestPro will try to respond to all applications in the shortest possible timeframe. Sometimes positions may be drawn out due to reasons outside of TestPro’s control.

Our Recruitment Process
  • Initial selection against criteria and experience
  • Introductory face-to-face or phone interviews
  • Technically driven face-to-face or telephone based interviews

TestPro tries to complete the process in the shortest possible time frame. Candidates who do not receive any feedback within a 2 week time frame should deem their application as unsuccessful. Some of our clients may also like to meet our prospective candidates.

All candidates whom are successful through the initial recruitment phase are required to supply 2 references who can be contacted by phone. Due to the nature of our clients an industries, candidates may be required to pass a national (or international) security check.

Test Manager

Primary Responsibility

Implementing and maintaining test standards and methodologies for testing application development and / or changes prior to release into production.

  • Reports to Project Managers and other Senior Managers
  • Supervises Test Leads and Test Analysts

Main Activities

  • Developing of test disciplines and methodology
  • Controlling effective use of test tools
  • Planning and reviewing testing schedules
  • Liaising with Project Managers to ensure adequate scheduling of test activities
  • Ensuring test activities are adequately resourced to meet schedules
  • Managing client expectation regarding test schedule and deliverables

Key Skills

  1. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  2. Ability to establish strong relationships with key clients
  3. Project management skills
  • Internal Contacts: Project Managers, Leads, Users, Development and System Teams
  • External Contacts: Vendors, Partners, Clients

Typical Experience

7 years relevant industry experience, with at least 3 years experience in a test role as well as relevant tertiary qualifications.

Test Lead

Primary Responsibility

Testing all applications changes across several platforms.

  • Reports to Test Manager
  • Supervises Test Analysts

Main Activities

  • Planning testing schedules
  • Preparing/reviewing testing documentation, particularly test scripts
  • Controlling the effective use of test tools
  • Adhering to test disciplines and methodology
  • Performing specialised and general testing, including complex systems
  • Following and logging problems through to resolution
  • Providing training to Business Systems Users
  • Liaising with Applications Developers and Business Representatives

Key Skills

  1. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  2. Systematic approach to planning and testing
  • Internal Contacts: Users, Applications and Systems Team
  • External Contacts: Vendors, Clients

Typical Experience

At least 3 – 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry as well as relevant tertiary qualifications.

Test Analyst

Primary Responsibility
