Position Title: Test Manager

Responsible for:

Implementing and maintaining test standards and methodologies for testing application development and / or changes prior to release into production.

 

Reports To:

Project Manager, Senior Manager.

 

Supervises:

Test Leads, Test Analysts.

 

Main Activities:
  • Development of test disciplines and methodology.
  • Controlling effective use of test tools.
  • Planning / reviewing testing schedules.
  • Liaising with Project Managers to ensure adequate scheduling of test activities.
  • Ensure test activities are adequately resourced to meet schedules.
  • Manage client expectation regarding test schedule and deliverables.
Key Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Some project management skills.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key client representatives (usually internal).
Internal Contacts:

Project Managers/Leaders, Users, Applications and Systems Teams.

External Contacts: Vendors.
Typical Experience:

7 years relevant industry experience, with at least 3 years experience in a test role. Relevant tertiary qualifications.
