Functional RUP

This course is designed to provide a foundation for the practical application of the Rational Unified Process (RUP®) to produce enterprise-scale software applications based on industry-standard best practices. Students will be introduced to the iterative phase-driven process of the RUP model, with appropriate emphasis on the core disciplines of RUP: Business Modeling, Project Management, Requirements, Analysis and Design, Implementation and Test and Deployment.

Foundations of the Rational Unified Process (RUP)

This course provides a substantive introduction to the Rational Unified Process (RUP®),a software development process that is rapidly emerging as the standard for enterprise-scale application development projects. Through classroom instruction and discussion, this course will address the key phases of the Rational Unified Process which are: Inception, Elaboration, Construction and Transition. Within these phases the role of iteration in managing changing requirements, resources and risks will be carefully examined. The role of best practices will be illustrated through a comprehensive examination of use-case driven development and architectural modeling, combined with an in-depth study of each key RUP engineering and support discipline from requirements and implementation, through to project and change management. This course is a lecture only course.

Fundamentals of IBM Rational ReqPro 6

This course is designed to present how to capture and manage the changing requirements of an information system using IBM Rational RequisitePro, an easy to use requirements management tool. The student will gain a good understanding of how to use the RequisitePro tool to apply software development best practices for using requirement attributes and traceability to help manage project scope and assess the impact of change.

Fundamentals of ClearQuest 6

This course is designed to provide instruction in the main topics needed by a new user of ClearQuest.

Rational Tools Overview

This course is designed to cover the Rational tool suite. Students will be introduced to a high level overview of each of the Rational tools.

Fundamentals of IBM Rational TestManager 6

This course is designed to provide instruction in order to familiarize quality assurance testers with the fundamentals of Rational TestManager. Rational TestManager is used to centralize test results and test data to assist with analysis of the results.
